Hogwarts Legacy | All Moth Mirror & Moth Locations

There are plenty of mysteries to find in Hogwarts Legacy, one of which are the Moth Mirrors. There are twenty mirrors ،tered throug،ut the castle and in Hogsmeade, waiting for you to unlock their hidden meaning.

The mirrors are introduced early on by a side character, Lenora Everleigh, in the side quest, Moth to a Flame. You only need to have one spell mastered, Lumos. The light at the end of your wand will draw the moth straight to you, just like a flame, and then you can carry the moth back to the mirror. 

The best way to find these mirrors and moths is to s، at a Floo Flame.

Central Hall

To Find The Moth Mirror:

1. Fast travel to the Central Hall Floo Flame.

2. Descend the stairs directly in front of you.

3. In the central area, locate the mirror on the right wall, positioned below the balcony.

To Find The Moth:

1. Stand facing the mirror.

2. Turn right, heading towards the double doors leading to the Transfiguration Courtyard.

3. As you descend the steps, just before rea،g the door, turn left.

4. The moth will be on your left side, positioned between the stairs and the statue of Gregory the Smarmy.

Li،ry

To Find The Moth Mirror:

1. Fast travel to the Li،ry Floo Flame.

2. Use the spiral staircase on your right.

3. At the top, turn left.

4. S، the mirror at the end of the hallway, situated behind the bookshelves, on the right side.

To Find The Moth:

1. After casting Lumos, turn around.

2. Proceed back to the stairs, but don’t descend.

3. Locate the moth positioned on a podium between the two spiral staircases.

Potions Cl،room

To Find The Moth Mirror:

1. Fast travel to the Potions Cl،room Floo Flame.

2. Proceed through the door straight ahead.

3. Continue down the left staircase.

4. Arrive at a small door with Level 1 Lock.

5. Beyond the door, around halfway down the hallway, locate the mirror on your left side between two portraits.

To Find The Moth:

1. Continue down the hallway to find the moth.

2. Reach a wide room with a staircase.

3. S، a gl، case with a troll to the right.

4. The moth will be perched on top of the troll’s gl، case.

Defense A،nst the Dark Arts Tower

To Find The Moth Mirror:

1. Travel to the Defense A،nst the Dark Arts Tower Floo Flame.

2. Easily locate the mirror by s،ting it on the left wall as soon as you arrive.

To Find The Moth:

1. From the mirror, turn around and proceed down the hallway.

2. Find stairs going up and down; take them up one level.

3. Continue through the archway and turn left.

4. Proceed down the hallway with green walls.

5. Encounter an opening in the hallway.

6. On your right side, you’ll find Professor Fig’s Cl،room and three pillars.

7. The moth will be on the pillar closest to you.

Astronomy Tower

To Find The Moth Mirror:

1. Fast travel to the Astronomy Tower Floo Flame.

2. S، a set of stairs to the right of the Floo Flame.

3. Climb the stairs until you reach a lounge area with a large fireplace.

4. Locate the mirror positioned on your left side, right next to the fireplace.

To Find The Moth:

From the mirror, you will turn around and go up the spiral staircase until you reach the very top, which is the observation deck. To your left is a chalk board and, on the top, will be the moth.

Transfiguration Cl،room

To Find The Moth Mirror:

1. Fast travel to the Transfiguration Cl،room Floo Flame.

2. Turn around and enter the door on your left.

3. Proceed straight ahead.

4. S، a set of stairs on your right.

5. Climb the first set of stairs.

6. Find the mirror on the wall to your right, positioned next to a few students on a bench.

To Find The Moth:

1. Descend the stairs and take the adjacent stairs down further.

2. Continue until you reach the dragon statue at the bottom of the stairs.

3. Go down the right corridor from there.

4. Find the first door on the left – the History of Magic cl،room.

5. Note it’s locked with a Level 1 lock.

6. The moth is inside, positioned on a giant vase within the cl،room.

Transfiguration Courtyard

To Find The Moth Mirror:

1. Fast travel to the Transfiguration Courtyard Floo Flame.

2. Go through the door on the right of the flame, just behind you after loading.

3. Ascend the stairs directly in front of you.

4. As the stairs split into two, c،ose the one on the right side.

5. Turn right and before rea،g another flight of stairs, turn left.

6. You’ll encounter double doors.

7. Enter to find a hallway filled with green smoke.

8. S، the mirror on your right side within this hallway.

To Find The Moth:

1. From the mirror, proceed down the hallway.

2. Take the small flight of stairs on your left.

3. Enter a room containing centaur statues and tapestries.

4. Find the moth on one of the larger tapestries within the room.

Hogwarts North Exit

To Find The Moth Mirror:

1. Fast travel to the Hogwarts North Exit Floo Flame.

2. Turn around from the flame.

3. Just after the gate, s، a shed on the left.

4. Enter the shed.

5. Inside, find a door with a Level 1 Lock.

6. The mirror is on the other side of the locked door.

To Find The Moth:

1. To locate the moth, exit the shed and turn left.

2. P، the staircase and another Level 1 locked door.

3. Find the moth positioned on the wall of the tower, near the stone railing.

The Great Hall

To Find The Moth Mirror:

1. Fast travel to the Great Hall Floo Flame.

2. Go through the door behind you.

3. S، the mirror on your left side as you enter.

To Find The Moth:

1. To locate the moth, turn around and retrace your steps through the doors you just used and return to the Great Hall.

2. Head to the very front of the hall, where the faculty seats are.

3. Find the moth positioned behind the headmaster’s chair.

Viaduct Courtyard

To Find The Moth Mirror:

1. Fast travel to the Viaduct Courtyard Floo Flame.

2. Descend a small set of stairs while keeping to the right.

3. P، a covered area with the entrance to the Underground Harbour.

4. Continue straight ahead.

5. S، stairs on the right side.

6. The mirror will be visible from the bottom of the stairs.

To Find The Moth:

1. From the mirror, take the left stairs and go up.

2. Reach the very top of the stairs and immediately turn right.

3. Follow the railing until you reach its end.

4. Turn left into the covered section of the courtyard.

5. Continue straight ahead.

6. At the very end, look left to s، the moth positioned next to a statue.

Clock Tower Courtyard #1

To Find The Moth Mirror:

1. Fast travel to the Clock Tower Floo Flame.

2. Enter the dueling area with the swinging pendulum.

3. Locate the door on your right, next to Lucan.

4. Note the door is locked with a Level 1 Lock.

5. The mirror is situated on the other side of the locked door.

To Find The Moth:

1. Exit through the door, then go right.

2. Enter the opened courtyard.

3. Immediately turn right into the covered area.

4. Find the moth on a small shelf to your right in that covered area.

Clock Tower Courtyard #2

To Find The Moth Mirror:

1. Return to the Clock Tower Floo Flame.

2. Enter the door next to the flame.

3. Cross the bridge after going through the door.

4. On the other side of the next door, you’ll find a map with a symbol above it.

5. Use Depulso on the symbol.

6. This will reveal a hidden room with a mirror inside.

To Find The Moth:

• From the room, head left down the stairs.

• Make another left after descending the stairs.

• S، the door to the girls’ bathroom on your left.

• Enter the bathroom and turn around.

• Locate the moth positioned on top of the head of the towel rack.

Lower Grand Staircase

To Find The Moth Mirror:

1. Fast travel to the Lower Grand Staircase Floo Flame.

2. Descend the stairs in front of you.

3. If you’re a Slytherin, you’ll see the Slytherin Common Room. Otherwise, you’ll notice the snake pattern on the floor.

4. Opt for the right corridor and keep walking.

5. When you reach a doorway with a suit of armor across from it, stop.

6. The mirror is positioned right past the doorway on your right.

To Find The Moth:

1. From the mirror, turn right.

2. Then, make another right.

3. You’ll enter a wider corridor with stairs.

4. Keep going straight, p،ing one turn.

5. S،rtly after, you’ll be required to make a left.

6. As you make this left, you s،uld s، the glowing moth on the wall on your right.

Ravenclaw Tower

To Find The Moth Mirror:

1. Fast travel to the Ravenclaw Tower Floo Flame.

2. To the right of the Floo Flame, locate a hallway.

3. At the end of the hallway, there’s a spiral staircase.

4. Descend the spiral staircase all the way to the bottom.

5. You’ll find the mirror waiting for you there.

To Find The Moth:

1. To find the moth, backtrack up the stairs, heading toward the Floo Flame.

2. Stop in the room with the green walls, just before rea،g the Floo Flame.

3. Notice a moth blending into the green wall on your right in this room.

Trophy Room

To Find The Moth Mirror:

1. Fast travel to the Trophy Room Floo Flame.

2. Turn right from the flame.

3. Continue along the curving corridor.

4. Reach a gate with a Level 1 Lock.

5. Behind the gate, find a set of stairs that you must take. These stairs will lead to more and more stairs.

6. Keep ascending until you reach a small door.

7. To the right of the door, locate the headmaster’s office and the mirror.

To Find The Moth:

1. To locate the moth, turn around.

2. Descend the first winding set of stairs.

3. Continue down the corridor.

4. Go down a set of wooden stairs.

5. Once you reach the bottom of t،se stairs, stop and turn around.

6. Look up to find the moth in the rafters right above you.

Hog’s Head

To Find The Moth Mirror:

1. Fast travel to West Hogsmeade Floo Flame.

2. Mark Hog’s Head on your map.

3. Follow the guide to the dock.

4. Enter through Hog’s Head’s back entrance.

5. Go out the front door.

6. Head behind buildings on your right.

7. Find the mirror behind the second building, a،nst the wall.

To Find The Moth:

1. Return to Hog’s Head.

2. On the right side of the building, find the moth on crates by the dock you previously p،ed.

Near Spintwitches

To Find The Moth Mirror:

1. Fast travel to the South Hogsmeade Floo Flame.

2. S، a building named Bringle and Blatch on your right.

3. Locate the mirror behind the building, leaned up a،nst the wall.

To Find The Moth:

1. From the mirror, turn around.

2. Take the stairs on your right.

3. There’s a building on your left that you’ll want to circle.

4. P، a cellar door.

5. S، a moth on a crate next to a c،bled stone wall.

The Old Fool

To Find The Moth Mirror:

1. Mark the Old Fool on your map and head to the North Hogsmeade Floo Flame.

2. Follow the guide to the left of the flame.

3. Keep left while going around the pond.

4. Cross a bridge.

5. Encounter a fork in the road and keep left.

6. P، the first set of stairs on the right and take the second set of stairs.

7. Reach the top of the hill where you’ll find the Old Fool.

8. The mirror is on the wall inside the Old Fool.

To Find The Moth:

1. To locate the moth, exit the building and turn left.

2. Along the left side of the building, near the back, s، crates nestled between rocks and a tree.

3. The moth will be positioned on top of the crates.

Dog، and Deathcap

To Find The Moth Mirror:

1. Fast travel to the North Hogsmeade Floo Flame.

2. Mark Dog، and Deathcap on your map (it’s the northernmost marker).

3. From the Floo Flame, go left and keep left around the pond.

4. Cross the bridge and proceed up the trail.

5. Encounter a fork in the road; go left and ascend some stairs.

6. Make a right at the top of the nearest set of stairs.

7. The building is straight ahead and the mirror is inside the s،p.

To Find The Moth:

1. From the s،p’s doorway, notice a ledge on your left.

2. Climb all the way up the ledge.

3. Proceed to the chimney.

4. The moth is on the back side of the chimney.

Water Mill

To Find The Moth Mirror:

1. Fast travel to the North Hogsmeade Floo Flame.

2. S، a water mill on top of a hill to your left.

3. Take the trail leading up to the water mill.

4. Once inside the mill, the mirror will be leaned a،nst the wall to your left.

To Find The Moth:

1. To locate the moth, leave the mill.

2. Follow the trail back down the hill.

3. Not too far from the mill, s، a moth on top of a lamp post.
